Had a pretty dang good chicken parmigiana. This place serves more "traditional" style Italian, (Think mobster movie dinner scene) with the heavy red sauce. This is not "Tuscan fare," or anything like that, so if you're expecting something "light," it may not be your thing. Food was really good. It tastes like you want it to. Service was excellent, and that's with 1 server working the entire room of 6 or 7 tables. No complaints... I'll be back, for sure

My review starts with the beginning of our evening with our lively/quirky waitress, Cindy! We enjoyed her commentary and the thoroughness of her attention to our needs. My caesar salad and my husbands wedding soup came out prior to the meal, which is how I feel it should be. Both were great. Both the Italian bread and the garlic sticks were warm and soft. I had the eggplant Parmesan with the penne and mushroom marinara sauce which had been prepared exactly as I had asked for it to be! My husband had the lasagna which he gave his rave reviews to. Thank you Monte Carlo for the excellent food and dining experience.

We went about 7 o’clock and it was not too busy. We had great service as soon as we walked in the door and the servers were very attentive throughout! I ordered the chicken parmigiana with penne; it was delicious! We also ordered the Monte Carlo trio and it was delicious too!! Both were very rich with an amazing red sauce. If we are ever back in the area we’d definitely go back! Very family friendly place with a great atmosphere and very welcoming!

My husband and I ate here this evening and had a lovely time. Everything came out very quickly and was absolutely delicious! I had the penne with red sauce- and an added meatball (good choice!). Husband got the chicken parm- it was super crispy. I also want to say something about our server. She, despite having to deal with a difficult table, was still smiling, attentive, and joking with us. And I will just say that table, who I overheard laughing and bashing the restaurant as they crafted their scathing revenge review about some free bread... They were children so I wasn't taking it too seriously, but was severely disappointed by the adult with them who could have used it as an opportunity for a lesson in grace and humility but instead said nothing

This is a great local Italian restaurant. It is not pretentious. The food is flavorful and fresh. My wife raved about the meatballs. I grew up with my Sicilian grandparents who did lots of home cooking from dcratch. Monte Carlo rates highly against my memories

Really enjoyed dinner here. Had a Hawaiian pizza with pepperoni instead of ham on a gluten free crust. It was so yummy! They also had Gluten free pene, but no actual gluten free protein to put in there, I am guessing from the preparation of it. Service was excellent and they dealt with large groups very well. Will definitely be going back!!

First time dining here. The food was all delicious. Had gnocchi with meat sauce and cheesy garlic bread. Service was good and pleasant. Sadly they were out of cannoli today. I will surely go again.

If good food is your interest, this is a great place. Old style recipes and lots of it. The lasagna may be the best in Columbus at any price. Not much as far as atmosphere is concerned. I like the quite environment and it makes it easy to have a conversation with your dinner guest. Prices are very reasonable.
